A study from the Emory University School of Medicine finds transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), a targeted form of noninvasive brain stimulation, can calm the brain's fear center and significantly improve symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), with benefits lasting months after treatment.
