Dynamic 3D scaffold could advance fibrosis and cancer research

Because living systems are dynamic, biomaterials should be dynamic in their mechanical properties, including stiffness. The bioelectronic conducting material PEDOT:PSS is often used in electronics and biomedical applications. The material can change stiffness in response to applied voltage, but this capability had not been rigorously studied—until now.
